HELLO! My Name is Mr. James Edward Sattiewhite.
I was born and raised here in San Antonio by Pastor Jackie and Natalie Sattiewhite. I have two siblings, Jackie Jr. and Jason.
My matriculation in education led through S.A.I.S.D from which I am a Herman Hirsch Elementary, S.J.Davis Midle School,
and Highlands H.S. product.
I then attended the auspicious Texas
Southern University, where I received my bachelor's degree in Mathematics. At Texas Southern I graduated with a 3.35
Cumulative GPA and a 3.76 Major-Specific GPA, earning Cum Laude status. I also joined such prestigious organizations as; Alpha
Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, NAACP-Houston Chapter, The International Golden Key Society, AF&AM-Isaiah #5, The
Baptist Student Ministry, and Beta Kappa Chi.
I have been here at the School Of Excellence
In Education since January 16, 2007 teaching 8th grade math.
My goal is to teach my students through self-discovery
and inquiry (asking the tough questions). I believe that, if given the chance, students can and will direct their educational
experience in the direction of ultimate retention and learning. My stance is one of proaction and not reaction, dealing with
the problem before it arises.
I plan to teach each student to the best of
my abilities each and every day, in dreams of ensuring more than just a passing TAKS score, but a better product for our society.
Again, I am Mr.J.E.Sattiewhite
